Tell Your Life Story
Nowadays information about most of us is all over the internet, but have you ever talked about the most significant experiences of your life, in your own words and voice, and in the way you wanted? An Emotional Memory Center (EMC) interviewer engages with you, as you share the memories you want to preserve for future generations. Our interviewers are highly skilled mental health professionals with advanced training in narrative, trauma resolution, and other therapies. This service is not therapy, but our interviewers know how to put you at ease, elicit interesting and relevant information, and otherwise evoke the storyteller in you. We also offer coaching and writing tips, if you want to refine or streamline your stories to make them more concise and compelling. Finally, we offer options for how you may archive your stories or share them online or even with a live audience.

You are the owner of your recorded content. You decide if you want to share all or some of your recordings with friends and family on your own or if you want some portion of your content shared. We can store your recordings publicly or privately. Recordings can be backed up on a disk and stored safely away from possible hacking, electrical failure, and other threats to digital data. We will release the recordings only to the person(s) and at the time you specify. For example, Mark Twain ordered that his final book not be released until 100 years after his death out of concern for the people it may have impacted. We offer legally binding contracts to keep and release your information, according to your precise instructions.
It’s like everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Always. All the time. That story makes you what you are. We build ourselves out of that story.
